Implantology

Implantology

WHAT ARE THEY?

They represent dental implants of small dimensions that serve to stabilize total dentures, as well as fixed crown carriers, when there is not enough room for a standard implant.

HOW IT IS PERFORMED?

• Before the intervention itself, a 3D image should be made. The intervention is scheduled if after the dental examination and insight into the recording the conditions for the intervention are fulfilled.

• The procedure is performed with the application of local anesthesia, it is completely painless and lasts from half an hour to several hours (depending on the number of implants).

• Cold linings and rest are advised after the procedure. Surgical ends are removed after 7 to 10 days. Creation of crowns on implants (prosthetic phase) is performed after 3 to 4 months. For the purpose of faster recovery after intervention, if necessary, you can take antibiotics, corticosteroids or analgesics (in consultation with your dentist from Bel Medic). After healing soft tissue, a new total denture is developed, or it is adapted to mini implants.

POTENTIAL RISKS

Like all oral-surgical interventions and the implantation of a mini implant, carries with it the risk of possible complications.

PREPARATION

No special preparation is required if the patient is fully healthy, if not, an adequate preparation of the patient must be done before extraction.

Implantology

WHAT ARE THEY?

Dental implants are essentially “titanium bolts” (biocompatible and fully bioinertal material) that are embedded in the jawbone, imitating the root of the teeth.

POTENTIAL RISKS

• Like all oral-surgical interventions and the implantation of dental implants, carries with it the risk of possible complications.

• Allergic reactions to titanium are minimized as well as the possibility of rejection of the implant by your organism.
